The most important thing for any practice manager is organisation! Whether you're organising the rota for working hours of practice staff or ensuring you have ticked all the relevant boxes with the CQC, the list can sometimes seem endless, this is where the DBG Member’s Area Task manager can help.

The new feature of our FREE Member's Area allows practice managers to plan in as many tasks as they like and assign them to numerous members of staff; all they need is an email address. As an example you might want to ask one of your DCPs to organise a service for an autoclave, simply click ‘+ add an entry on the main dashboard. You will then be presented with the screen below. Complete the subject, assign a priority of low, medium or high, select a due date (a calendar drops down) and details of what you would like doing. Then assign to a user. If the person required isn’t set up as a user you can add them clicking ‘Add a new user’ all you need is to input their name and email address.


Once you have filled in all the details click ‘Create Task’

The chosen user will then receive an email with the details on, within this is a link to access the task. This won’t require them having your log in details, it simply takes them to the task. From here they can provide an update on actions taken and progress or mark the task as completed. The task is then automatically updated within your task manager application in the Member’s Area.

You can filter your tasks to view assigned, completed, overdue, by user or all, allowing you to have visibility of exactly what’s going on and where. Task are simply colour coded as either Overdue, Due soon, Not Due Yet and Completed. See example below.


The task manager has been developed to assist practice managers in their day to day tasks and is included for FREE in the dbg Member’s Area.
