DBG Golf Day 2009
The 6th Annual DBG Golf Event took place at De Vere
Carden Park, Cheshire on 14th and 15th June 2009.
The event in true DBG Golf Day tradition was enjoyed
by those who enjoy quality courses, great company,
a chance to relax and escape, dinner and a few drinks,
and then a few more...
The Cheshire countryside looked stunning in the
sunshine
on the Sunday when 64 golfers teed off
on the Cheshire
Course. The Cheshire is a tricky
course but was thoroughly
enjoyed by all.
The 17th
hosted the "hole in one" competition,
a
relatively short
hole but with a sloping
green
and a couple of awkwardly
placed bunkers.
Despite a
number of claims that lost
balls could be
found
in the hole
the Jaguar remained
without a home
for another year.
Following a brief stop over at the 19th hole the party
continued with an informal dinner and prize giving
and raffle (proceeds to Queens Court Hospice,
Southport) with a Smeg fridge as the main raffle prize.
Monday brought teeing off for a second day (although
a
little early for some) on the Nicklaus Course and again
the sun shone.
This event would not of been possible without the
generous
donations and sponsorship of Ultimate
Communications,
Lloyd & Whyte, CPD, Smeg,
Dentsply, Technotype,
Septodont, Premier Leasing,
ECO Water, Dentoid, Faro,
GCUK, Alkapharm,
Blackwell, KAVO, Concise IT,
SDI and De Vere
Carden Park.
Thank you for your continued support.
Please email info@thedbg.co.uk with your
venue
suggestions for 2010. Again the event will
take
place
around mid June as this avoids
school holidays.
