Essential Standards practice assessment half price offer...
With a little help from dbg we can offer you a practice assessment rather than a self assessment which can lead to a false sense of compliance. The assessment is designed to demonstrate to your practice team, your patients and the regulatory bodies that you are proactively working towards maintaining your obligations and compliance with the “Essential Standards of Quality and Safety”, as well as highlighting any potential problems that you may need to manage. We will provide assistance and advice on the latest guidance and best practice throughout the visit.
The areas that dbg assess are:
- Your premises including access, facilities, security, fire precautions, third parties and business continuity plans.
- Information governance including Freedom of Information Act, manual and computerised records, Data Protection and security.
- Radiography including IRR99 and IR(ME)R2000 compliance.
- Cross Infection and Decontamination including HTM 01-05 compliance, Approved Code of Practice guidance and surgery audits.
- Foreseeable Medical Emergencies including resuscitation, emergency drugs provision, equipment and protocols.
- Training, documentation and certificates.
- Waste disposal and documentation and storage.
- Practice policies and written procedures.
- Audit of clinical records and patient outcomes including quality measures.
The assessment will take approximately 4 hours of your Practice Manager’s time depending on the number of surgeries. A report will be produced confirming the results of your assessment with any improvements and recommendations required.
